Studio Pixar introduced his own version of a non-profit program designed RenderMan- rendering system designed, as you might guess, for the production of animated and feature films.

RenderMan is available since 1986 and has become popular among many production studios. The program uses a 3D-ready files created by other editors, and renders frames allowing to change the position of the camera, lighting and other effects.
RenderMan used in such well-known projects such as Avatar (2009), 2012 (2009), WALL-E (2008), Ratatouille (2007), Spider-Man 3 (2007) and others.

Renderman can be downloaded for free and used for personal training, experimentation, research, writing plug-ins and tools for it though.
Renderman will only be available for 64-bit operatsionok (Mac OS 10.8 and 10.7, Windows 8, 7, Vista, and Linux). Supports Autodesk Maya 2013, 2013.5, 2014 and 2015.

You can also purchase the paid version for $ 495, which brings together under one license a functional before different packages: RenderMan Pro Server and RenderMan Studio.
