Blender 5.2 Online Render Farm Support

Rendering Blender projects in the same version of the program in which they were made is very important. While scenes can be opened in earlier versions, data may be lost, especially if new features were introduced. That’s why we make sure to add new releases of Blender to the list of supported software as soon as possible. As of July 2026, we added Blender 5.2 LTS to Megarender. You can now render your projects in Cycles, EEVEE, or Workbench automatically in any time zone. Make sure to correctly collect your scene assets before uploading. Here’s a short overview of the improvements Blender 5.2 LTS brings:


Geometry Nodes

Sample Sound Frequencies node allows the use of an audio file to create geometry that reacts to music and sound effects in real time. There’s a new option to hear the music during playback in the viewport.

Mesh Bevel node brings an important modifier into the Geometry Nodes workflow. It allows beveling edges and vertices and comes with the usual options, like setting the number of segments for the resulting bevel, the shape of it (including using a spline for that), and several offsets for fine-tuning.

XPBD Solver node reimagines simulations and hair and cloth dynamics inside the Geometry Nodes. It’s a complex node for advanced specialists. It is meant to be used with another innovation: bundles, special nodes that can be attached to geometry to carry essential data between nodes. 

Rendering

Texture Cache in Cycles render settings is a new way to reduce RAM/VRAM use during rendering by automatically creating .tx files for each texture in the scene. It’s a great way to optimize scenes for rendering on middle-grade graphics cards, which previously wouldn’t render projects of such scale.

Thin Wall in the Principled BSDF material node makes rendering physically accurate thin materials finally possible in both Cycles and EEVEE. This can be used for paper, fabric, glass, and materials with subsurface scattering.

Backface in EEVEE handles the rays that interact with the back faces of visible geometry. When enabled, such bounces are treated as valid instead of being dropped, which adds realism and detail to render results. 

Compositor

New socket types for the Compositor added: Matrix, Rotation, String, Object, Font, and Integer Vector.

35 new nodes for the Compositor, many adopted from Geometry Nodes.

New compositing assets include filters for watercolor, oil painting, and film grain effects.

Auto keying support for compositor gizmos.

Grease Pencil

Fill Tool got a new solver – Delaunay – which creates Grease Pencil strokes directly from the existing strokes geometry. This makes fills more precise independently of the viewport resolution. 

Dots and Squares line types received a wide choice of control options for adjusting how they are distributed along the stroke. 

Strokes are now generated at render time and not as additional geometry, improving the overall performance, especially when compared to using a Subdivide modifier.

Modelling

The process of integrating Loop Tools into native Blender has begun. The tools were rewritten in C++, both improving their performance and fixing border-case issues. The first to be integrated are To Circle, Flatten, and Space Edge Loops Evenly, and they are available in the Mesh - Transform submenu.
